Hi, I've a U20 mini excavator - I'm a first timer and only have the machine for about four months. It's a fantastis machine and having originally purchased it in the UK I towed it down to Italy for a small job. My question is the connected with the tracks which move in and out depending on the width you require. Well, I've noticed the tracks don't move in and out very well. In fact if the machine is standing flat and I try and move the lever that moves them in and out one side kinks and wedges preventing it from moving all the way. I have to turn the boom around and lift the side of the machine, then the track moves into possition. If I'm correct, I think the arm that moves the actual track in and out is located in the middle of the machine. Perhaps something needs to be tightened up so it pulls each of the tracks more evenly? Any help would be appreciated. Thx. Peter.

Its been a while since I've been on a mini ex but I do believe thats the way you're supposed to move the tracks. By picking up one side at a time and adjusting them. Keep in mind theres alot of weight resting on those tracks and you dont want to move them in and out with a bunch of weight sitting on them.
