Hello everyone. I just picked up a L275dt. It's in such bad shape that I almost passed over the ad. I decided to give it a second look. Most of the wiring is melted. Every cylinder on the loader and backhoe leaks. The tachometer is missing. Someone rewired the dashboard wrong. Needs a hood and seat. The pins on the loader are replaced with bolts that are too small. Fuel system leaks. And the list goes on. I started it up and despite all the problems, it still works.

Now that I have it home, the fun begins. I will start with rewiring it, fixing the fuel leaks, and some basic maintenance. If anyone has extra parts let me know.

I have been searching this forum for a few days and was able to locate a parts book and repair manual. Thank you to the people who posted those links. It makes my project much easier.

I;m guessing the hydraulics haven't been treated any better than the rest of the machine, so after the leaks are fixed the best favor you do this rig is a full fluid replacement.

Run all the hydraulic cylinders to full-retracted, and drain all that will come out the bottom trans plug. Put 2 or 3 gallons of new oil in the trans and cycle all the cylinders a couple more times to change (dilute) the old oil left in the system. Drain it again, clean the bottom suction strainer, clean/replace the hydraulic filter and put in new fluid. The machine will thank you for years.
