Transmission Kubota oil plug - size for

Have a kubota L2800 - noticed today that the plastic oil sight plug for the transmission broke- the new one is over $35. Rather to pay that for an oil plug I would rather to use a metal plug for the transmission- does anybody know what size could be used?

Seems high to me. I got one about 3 years ago for an M5000 and cost was about $11. Takes a couple of minutes to install.

McMaster has BSPP and metric thread sight glasses for $5. Measure the old one.
