L4610 won't turn off by key ignition. Pulling out choke makes the engine stop running. What damage does this do over time, diesel fuel sitting in engine over time.

That's not a choke lever, diesels don't have chokes.
That's a fuel cut off lever, it shuts off fuel to the engine, same thing as shutting it off with the key would do if you fuel solenoid was working properly.

Do yourself and your tractor a favor and get the WSM (work shop manual, AKA Service manual) And the OPS manual (operators manual) for the tractor and it will give you the troubleshooting path to fix the key issue.

Pull fuses by clutch pedal ,check and put them back in. There is one in there that controls cutoff solenoid. If that machine lives outside then likely that is your problem. Corroded fuse.

Not sure how your tractor is set up but my B2150 was the same way when I bought it. Found a schematic and some troubleshooting led me to a bad shut down timer relay mounted under and behind the gauge cluster, was a pain to get to but did the trick.
