My son has a 2007 Toro Z4200 mower and the blades will not engage. Apparently it has a swithch that has to be pulled to the up position to activate blades. Nothing happens when this is done. Has anyone had a similar issue with a Toro Zero turn?

Either the switch itself has gone bad or the electric PTO has stopped working. I'd say start cheap and replace the switch which you can find at any auto parts store for a few bucks and see what that does.

Thanks Eric. I'll pass that on to my son.

I have a Toro Proline walkbehind so they are pretty much set up about the same. The Proline is from the commerical line up of mowers. I had looked up the Z4200 your son has and its basically a "homeowners" model. If you son is using that in a lawncare biz it wont hold up to the use and abuse.
