I have a L2501 and added the Pats premium hitch. Enjoy both. But on at least one implement the top link is fully extended. Where can you buy an after market top link that is a little longer than what came with it? Tractor supply has a larger diameter TL that wouldn't fit in the holder.
Thanks

If you're just talking about the ball that fits on the tractor side, you're going to have to grind it down. That seems to be the case with all aftermarket top links.

No I'm talking about the diameter of the middle part that is smaller than what they sale.

I'm looking for the small diameter but a little longer

Sounds like you bought a category 2 when you need a category 1. All TSC's local to me sell cat 0, 1, and 2 top links, so I'd check back with them, but selection probably varies locally. They should be able to order one for you if they don't have it, since the chain carries it.

So you can find the right length but you need a smaller middle cylinder to fit into your retainer ?
Im not sure about any manufacturers that give specs on that. You might have to go through the dealer, Im not sure.
What if the dealer had a longer cylinder and you use your threaded ends from the shorter one ? Just trying to help come up with ideas.
What about a larger hook retainer, or possibly modify it ?
Sorry cant help much but someone will come up with something.

A local tractor supply store should carry what your looking for, if not then eBay or Amazon will have it. ;)

CAT 1, and measure the body length.

What exactly do you mean by middle part? The part with the threads that you turn, or the inside diameter of the balls where the pins go? If you mean the balls, then what bucktail said about category I/II mix up is the issue. If you mean the threads, the size of those don't matter. Like NIW said, figure the length you need, and get a Category I link.

It came with the tractor new, maybe it is a cat 2 instead of 1

Went to the dealer and asked for a longer one "like the one that came with it" man said that was it

What exactly do you mean by middle part?
The center part (female) that you turn
Maybe what I have is fine, Kubota designed it so you can't take the threaded ends all the way out (guessing for safety) I measured and it looks like it would have at least 1 inch of thread still inside at each end

TSC around here seem to be lacking in suppling anything but dog and cat food.

They're pretty good here. They have to compete with Runnings and Fleet Farm.
