Okay guys. I got a sprayer today. Unloaded it with the forks put the quick hitch adapters on backed up to hook it up and….. it’s about 4 inches too narrow! Is there something I can buy to make the bottom two connections wider to accommodate the quick hitch without welding?

I know I can’t be the first one with this problem. Or maybe I am?

Nothing I can think of.
It's sad that manufactures of equipment can't follow standards for sizes that have been established for years!
I would be sending the manufacture a nasty gram!

That or just return it and buy something else, hopefully one company gets what standards are.

curious... normal tractor 3PH, if CAT1, gap will be 26 inches +- a bit. Are you saying the sprayer is 30" wide ?
It's probably the quickhitch is NOT a CAT 1 implement designed device......
Maybe post which quick hitch you have and sprayer.
I'm old, tired, wanna go to bed but dang I'd like to see this get fixed.....

Shot in the dark here but some implements have their drawpins mounted on adjustable brackets so you can shift everything one way or another to offset the implement to one side. If that were the case youd just loosen bolts and move the brackets around. Also some implements let you face the draw pins inwards or outwards which could make a ~4” difference. Just some ideas.

So this is with the quick hitch off obviously. I’m just wondering if I can buy something that will extend the diameter.

Use it without the quick hitch.

OK I see what you mean now and all of your options are going to require minor fabrication unless somebody just makes extremely long draw pins you could put in there that won’t bend from the weight. Are you capable and willing to cut and weld?

The one reason I went with Pat’s quick hitches. Many pieces of older equipment.

pix are great ! you've got a CAT1 tractor, a CAT1 implement and the 'quickhitch' is not CAT1 on the implement side. Apparently very few are....

if ( ????) where the pins bolt on IS a 'clear run', you could just remove pins, slide a long bar through that'll fit the QH..... if not....buy longer pins ... or make longer pins.... or buy long grade8 bolts to use as pins.
Whatever you do, you need to add 'bushings' to the pins so they are snug in the QH slots. If loose, implement bounces around and bad things can happen....
