Just saw a science show on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and according to the current timeline, we should have computers with human "like" intelligence in three to four years. Of course, intelligence is only on facet of the human "person" so it remains to be seen how long before other traits are mastered like creativity, compassion, binge drinking, and flatulence.

The future... ain't it great!

This once again reminds me of George Carlin's quote, "Think about how stupid the average person is, and then realize half of them are stupider than that."

This give the robot a lot of leeway.

Is this another one of those predictions that seems to last forever, like we might be three to four years away for the next hundred years? We have been just a year or two away from the ultimate battery for at least 100 years and about 60 years for the ultimate solar cell. There has been a lot of progress, but the final step seems to be always three to four years away.

Not exactly out thinking humans, just doing it faster. It's just a program that looks for certain color patterns, and from there determines what moves to make. Basically a much more advanced program than what this robot uses:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nxjjztQKtY No, it's not a mind reader, it just sees what the opponent is throwing and throws what will beat it in less time than it takes the human to complete the throw.

They can do some amazing things with robotics:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxFZ-VStApo

So will all the folks who protest virtually everything from $15 minimum wages, gay rights, women's rights, even saw a protest by men in white clothes with a red spot on the front of their crotch protesting circumcision....

Will these folks protest the robots with intelligence greater then theirs?
