TG1860 GearBox

My Dad has a TG1680 with hydro static drive and electric PTO clutch for mower deck. Does this model also have a gearbox if so where is it located. I have looked in the owners manual and all I can find is what fluid it takes. I would appreciate any info you can give me about this i am getting ready to change his hydro fluid and if it has a gearbox i would like to change this fluid at the same time.

Leave the hydro fluid alone unless the transaxle is/was leaking or somehow failed. it's a pain in the neck to change the fluid in them and even worse to change the filter. Why? There's no drain bolt. And the filter is internal requiring removal of the trans from the frame, then partially disassembling it to get to the filter. Removing the cover's bolts (I think 13 of them?) almost always results in at least one of them breaking off and they are harder than hammered diamonds so you'll need a good source for a drill bit & extractor to get them out.

OK thanks for the advice i thought there was a drain plug on the back of the trans axle an Allen head bolt ok where is the gearbox and drain plug located also the dip stick on the left side behind the left tire if you are sitting in the seat is that for the hydro static or the gear box also my dads mower had the 3 bag power bagger on it do I have to remove any of that to be able to get to the gearbox to drain the fluid?

Can some one give me information on where the gearbox drain plug and fill whole is located?

I aint never used a drain plug I always suck it out with an evacuator because it's a lot easier to use and you don't have to fiddle with finding a hidden drain bolt it just takes 80w90 in the gearbox usually theres a fill port in the top you gotta take out and you can use a turkey baster to suck the old out and put the new in look at the wsm it outlines it
