Leafy England....
Hi all,
I was thinking about fabricating a custom trailer for use around the the grounds and especially in our small woodland ( maybe jungle would be better description;) )
Anway , i was thinking about making it 4' wide and 7' long with twin axles at the rear.
Instead of having the normal single fixed axle i was thinking about going down the indepedant twin articulated axles route with wide floation tyres that will handle uneven terrain better than fixed axles, or something similar,
needs to be a tipper aswell.
I have some ideas but wanted to see what ideas you guys had on the subject and then work from there.

rob.

thanks for the reply, sort of but bigger.
found this pic before i saw your reply, but this is a 2 ton trailer , i'm thinking more in the region of 1 - 1.5 ton capacity.

there does appear to be numerous way to achieve this setup by the looks of things.

I had thought about the same thing, but then my uncle gave me a 3' tailer axle with 12" tires, leaf springs, and shackles. So, I used that- it will roll over anything, carries more weight than my atv can move, and between the 12" tires and leaves, the departure angle of the tail doesn't get hung up on anything.
Because I use it behind my atv mostly, I made it 3x5'6".

A walking axle is cool, but the single axle with leaves is simple and foolproof.

Most of those buckets were full of adhesive- that was over 1,000 pounds on the trailer.
