Been going on for a while now, if I push really hard on HST pedal speed will
increase. I guess there is some type of adjustment?? Maybe at the ends of the
speed rod (part #60)?

If it's transmission related it could be a couple things, both internal and external. Check the pedal linkage and lever as you pointed out to make sure the pedal is getting full travel. #170 in your picture is the transmission side lever, you can watch this lever while someone pushes the pedal to ensure it's getting full travel (put the wheels in the air).

Other possibility is bad fluid flow. How old is the fluid? The internal filter could be clogged (if it has one). It could also be getting worn and the pump faces are scored, letting fluid leak out of the pressure paths.

there's a pedal stop under the floorboard. Climb under there and have a peek. Work the pedal back & forth and you'll likely see a forward travel pedal stop and a reverse pedal travel stop. The reverse one is not really gonna do much other than keep the pedal from hittin the floorboard when you go to back up. The forward stop....back it out as far as you can, push the pedal down, and you can put a little pressure on it to clear out any dirt/debris from the hst linkages. Once you have the pedal as far as it will go, turn the stop bolt in until it barely touches. Release the pedal back to neutral and give the stop bolt another 1/4 turn, tighten the jam nut, you're done.

There is also a set screw in the trunnion arm on the side of the transmission and that set screw can back out but usually when it does, neutral is erratic, forward might be real slow or real fast, reverse might or might not work, real erratic overall. If yours isn't that way, just adjust the pedal stop bolt and it should take care of the problem you're having.

Backed the bolt out a little and picked enough speed to do what is needed. Wife uses it more than me so it should be fine...thanks
