The slide inside the injector pump is frozen. Will not move with soleniod removed. Can the side plate with the throttle lever and shut down lever be removed to free up the rack?

It might be moved by pulling the side cover, but your going to need to pull the pump out and have it rebuilt to free the movement up. ;)

Do Not force the rack to move or you could be looking at a rather expensive repair bill!

Thanks, I had heard from another source that after pulling the side plate that WD40 would free up a minor problem with the slide without excessive force. Any thoughts on that?

You can try, but I've never had much luck with that kind of a quick fix.

Remove the sol.
Remove the thr. plate
Shut off the fuel & remove the fuel inlet line.
Blow out the inlet on the pump for any remaining fuel.
Fill the pump inlet hole w/ any kind of penetrating oil & spin the engine..
Refill as necessary.. give it time to work.
Use a screwdriver to LIGHTLY PRY the control rack{slider} WHILE u crank the engine..
If it doesn't move, re-fill w/ pen. oil & give it another day..
Spinning the engine w/ pen oil in the pump inlet will distribute it..
Letting it sit stationary, will just let it sit in 1 spot..
Once u get the rack free, it has to be in a certain position inorder for the pump to be removed.. theres a cut-out in the block for it to clear, for removal.
Hope this helps.. ONLY USE SLIGHT FORCE on the rack.
