Hi! I bought a 1999 L35 and was able to pull the backhoe (Finally! Yes it was stuck like a SOB) off but now I am experiencing another issue. I first noticed the 3-Point Lowering speed knob did not turn or move more than 5 degrees (yes, that little) awhile back and did not think much of it. Now, I am trying to pull the Directional Valve out to use the 3-Point Hitch and it is not moving at all. It is stuck in the backhoe position. I am thinking these might be related but not sure. I did find a little info online regarding a Directional Valve stuck (theirs was stuck out) in the 3-Point position but not much else. Does anyone have any suggestions before I start taking things apart? Maybe I am missing something. Also, if anyone has a few pictures from their shop manual for the L35 that can assist, I would be forever grateful. I am working on getting my shop manual now but want to work on this beforehand. Thanks!

#1 spray a rust breaking lube on every surface and part, and let it soak in, do it several times.

On the three point speed adjustment spray it in the gap between the rod and sleeve and let it soak in.

Gotcha! I got the Directional Valve working with good ol Kroil and some gentle tapping. On the Directional Valve I also sprayed a few times throughout the day yesterday and let it sit... I can only spray through the hole behind the knob though... I checked today and I was able to get it to move about a 1/4 turn.... Is that all it goes? I will spray it again and wait for response. Got to love Kroil!

Once freed up it will turn several times. ;)

Just turns, does not move in or out. Totally clockwise will lock the 3-pt up. As you adjust it counter-clockwise it limits the lowering speed.
