Step assist for BX2370

Is there one available BX2370? I a recovering from broken hip and a little assiste would be helpful, plus I a 76 years old and am packing extra weight!

Also am I the only one who paid the price for dumping in a small item while refueling ultimately causing tank to be removed and cleaned?

Hope your recovery goes well but I cannot help you with the step assist. However, if you get one of these, or something similar, you will not have to deal with fuel tank contamination from small items.

I will bite... where do you get these? I searched eBay and amazon, and nothing.

That particular one was custom made by me from some pvc pipe, and stainless steel tea strainer from Ebay. However, if you Google Fuel tank inlet strainer you will get plenty of hits, just need to select one that fits.

Thanks. Is that one sold by Filters fast of NC, I belive. I was thinig the #4 size would work. Slip over the neck and use large radiator clamp to gently hoid it in place. I assume toss after use??

As do i in the summer (mower deck). I have been in touch with Paul. He made a few and asked for feedback but no one did, so he quit making them. Have talked to the folks at R2 MFG. I think if there was interest, they might tackle it. It should not be that hard. I think there are enough old duffers like me and vertically challenged gals that could them to be of value. I would spend a chunk of change to avoid anohter leg injury while stuck in a snowbank trying to be back on after scooping to free the tractor.

re: tank troubles....

BTDT, I got my strainer from a $store. Supposed to be a stainless steel 'lint' strainer for a laundry tub. Just had to trim down the lip to get it to fit on the neck and get the cap back on. Best $2 I ever spent !
I like 07WN version, deeper,easier to fill

Makes a lot of sense. Wonder even if the filters used in showers or kitchen sinks would work. Appreciate the sensible idea.
