Really nice.. that would be my dream setup. SDK any info on brand or links that I can research for my purchase? Also did you buy it new for that price?

this is way more trailer than i needed or you would... but for the money it is really hard to beat.

we got it to move car/trucks.. but now days it moves the tractors & mowers.

its 20' long & 76 between the fenders. comes complete as you see it with 12,500lb winch, hydro lift, 4 wheel disk breaks, 8 ply tires & fancy wheels, hide away spare rack underneath, all LED lights & those are 5200lb axles even though the trailer is listed as 9,999 set up (this is for the plates..), 12,000lb front jack, 12,000lb tie downs all around....

the ONLY thing is this is NOT aluminum. so it weighs 2,050lbs on its own.

out the door price was only $5,600!!! been the best trailer ive ever bought.

sure!

If the Mods here would like to split this off so we dont take over the OP's thread its all good ...

cause its a nice story with it.

YES that was brand new price! if you go thru a different dealer they cost $2000 more... (which is actually still a good price on this nice of a trailer)

had been shopping for a trailer again for a while & even though i wanted the fancy aluminum... couldnt afford them or find them with heavy enough axles to put my super duty on if it ever needed pulled.

found these trailers. they are made by Traxx. it is a tralier making company in Bowling Green Ky. (but i didnt know that at the time.)

just found what appeared to be a smoking deal on it at North Lilly Trailer Sales. called them & talked to the guy. Good ole boy, laid back & easy to deal with. told him id bring cash on a Saturday & he agreed to come in on his day off & do the paperwork on it..

so as i pulled off of the lot with it, i made a wrong turn & got lost.... just so happens i found out then why he could sell these so cheap!

just a couple blocks away was the Traxx facility where they make these trailers! HUGE place all new & shiny... big set up.

but right next to him.. so he has no delivery or extra fee's... he just rolls over & gets them.

they come EXACTLY as you see it in that picture. LED's all around, tie downs, heavy duty winch with remote, battery, hydro set up.... 8 ply tires.. 4 wheel disc brakes.

its a very easy pulling trailer, axles are far enough back from my truck that it takes the bumps good timing wise, long enough that it turns good.

they only thing would be that it weighs a little over 2K empty.. so if you got an s10, dakota or ranger? might be too heavy for them.

so anyhoooooo: if your anywhere withing driving distance to save several thousand $'s on a awesome trailer?

this is the place to go!

it was 3hrs each way for me & i still feel like it was a great grab. we have used the crap out of it. we've moved probably a dozen cars, haul the tractors & Hustler on it & when we moved we worked it a lot with the vaults & heavy machines.

hope this helps & if you do buy from them? give them my name.. they will owe me DINNER!! LOL

sk

EDIT NOTE: here is the actual manufacture: http://www.traxmfg.com/ & here is the actual page for this trailer! http://www.traxmfg.com/Pictures/t7620 large.jpg

it appears that they are making these now with a little smaller winch than what i got & a little lighter in weight... but they are also now using 6,000lb axles vs the ones i have...

GORGEOUS.

If'n I was in the market for a trailer, that would be at the top of my list. Like everything, you gotta have a good use to justify the purchase. Glad you have a need!!!

Out here, the tires would rot off every 7 or 8 years and for that, the dealer can pick-up and deliver my machine once a year and I am money ahead.

Enjoy!

ccr,

(nice initials by the way for those of us who are older)

You are exactly right!

sold several trailers cause we just didnt use them & the tires dry rot...

LOL then next week after you need one again & i absolutely hate borrowing anything from anyone.

so after having to rent one (it was junk).... told my wife i was gonna buy just 1 more & no matter how many sets of tires it took was gonna keep it till my eyes were too bad to pull stuff.

we really wanted one of those fancy aluminum ones so that it wouldnt rust sitting under sun/rain here in ohio... but man we just couldnt touch one for anything that didnt feel like they wanted a sexual encounter or it. :-0

so it is just a "steely"... but im pretty proud of it matching my truck & looking all nice.... at a very low price.

gotta take the new toy in for service here in a few weeks, will snap some pix of it on there then.

thanks for all the kind words & remember if any of you guys buy one of these... i get a free dinner out of it!

aluminum is nice but from a structural standpoint, but I question it's use for a trailer. The frame of a trailer needs to flex. Aluminum doesn't flex like steel without cracking eventually. That has been my experience, owned a Featherlite for a while, never own another one. Currently own a Pace 24' enclosed which has been 100% problem free.
