Hi, how can I find out what year my ssv75 was made? Can it be decoded from the serial number or the product identification number? If not then where would I look or go. I tried the dealer and they said it is a 2020 machine- but I think it is either a 2018 or 2019 because it has tires and rims that have date codes and stickers that say manufactured in 2018 not to mention the tires are starting to crack. I would just like to know. Thanks
Tractors and Skid steers loaders / Track loaders and most other heavy equipment follow the same rules.
It's year is the year it was first sold, so even if it was made in 2018-2019, if sold in 2020 it's a 2020.
Yes it's very common for it to have actually been manufactured before it's sold date, but it really doesn't matter.
Date codes on rims is a good indication of the actual year made, but it's not a tell all because rims can be changed.
If you want a better Idea of it's year, look at the valve cover if you can get to it, it should have a sticker with the engine year on it.
They don't publish year and serial numbers correlations, unless there was a radical change in the model.
Now on that model there are three serial number breaks for changes, while they don't give year breaks I could tell you if it's old mid or new design with the serial number.
Also what exact version is it?
SSV75
SSV75C
SSV75P
SSV75PC
Give me those two pieces of info and I'll see what I can dig up.
