For us anyway.

The Daffodils have already bloomed out and the Wisteria is now in full glory.

The Green Maple is fully leafed out and the Red Maple is above it in the background. The backyard guest house seen on the right is where the school teacher lives.

Yup, the grass has already been cut once. ;)

Trees are just starting to get a wee bit of green here. Mowed the one part of the yard that gets full sun once. Shady parts haven’t needed mowing yet.

Maple tree on the back yard popped out some leaves a couple weeks ago. Little bitty ones. Then it froze and the leafs disappeared. Then they came back. Gone again after 2 nights of freezing.

Spent the entire day today at the lake trying to find crappie. It's that time of year. I found 19 and had to work to find those! Deep one day, shallow the next. They're as confused as the rest of us. I'll probably put the boat up for a month or so and hit them hard from May through October. Yep I'll be sitting in the middle of the lake all by myself when it's 100+ degrees outside, and (hopefully) a basket full of crappie. Neighbor guy don't believe me but I'm fixin to take him when it warms up.Told him I'd show him a few spots. Certainly not all of them though ;)

I made the mistake of showing a guy an orchard where I hunted rabbits. 2 weeks later I went back with the dog, he and his BUDs cleaned the whole orchard out. It took 3 years for them to repopulate it. Never again!

Well, we ALMOST have a lake full of open water up here.
The packed snow in the driveway/road just finally disappeared earlier this week. I'm hoping tomorrow it's dry enough that I can do some work on the driveway. Previously all I would do is just churn it up. It was like pudding.
Another chilly weekend coming up, but at least any of the snow that DOES come down should go away right quick (I HOPE).

Where I live, spring is ugly: cold and windy. We look forward to summer, not spring

Its great to see the green grass and blooms in the posted photos. What I hate about spring here in Maine are the dam bear. Last year it was May 15th when they showed up. This year April 13th. A month early. I'll post two videos, one the bear headed to the house. One he comes up on the porch. With a big fat stomach after being in hibernation for months I can only guess what he weighed in November.
NOTE: files are MP4. I can't upload them or are smart enough to make them Jpeg or some other file. Sorry.

OK, spring is really here now. We have a dark brown deck and my work boots are also dark brown. They were both clean this morning. This afternoon:

Something somewhere is getting pollinated.

I had to pressure wash ours yesterday so at least it's clean today.
