Splitting 1996 L2900 GST

Any tips, special tools, or advice before I split this L2900.
Will I need the Service Manual? Where is best (cheapest) place to get one?
I will be trying this in my garage at my house.

I would get the service manual, It could save you a lot of abuse and it will spell out how to split it and all of what you will find inside.

Give the tractor a good cleaning before you start, makes it a lot easier to work on.
I don't know of any special tools other than good solid blocking, jack stands, floor jack.
Don't force anything to come apart or go back together.

Why are you splitting it?

Its leaking hydraulic oil. Coming out in front by the shaft going to 4 wheel drive.
I bought the spacer kit Kubota put out to fix this issue but found out from the original owner that he tried to fix it with the spacer kit but had no luck.
He did say he never fully finished putting it back together so I may be missing a few pieces..

Do you think its worth going behind him and reinstalling the new spacer kit I have?

Me personally knowing that I would split it and go through it and replace all the seals and double check all the parts.

Do you have leak in similar location as on my B1750 ( where front wheel shaft enters the hst? See picture attched

The L2900 has a completely different setup for the front drive and drive line seal, it's all internal.
