I've been shopping for suitcase weights on line - $79, $89 + freight - oh my. Called my local dealer on a whim and got them for $58 out the door for the same thing. Sometimes it pays to shop local. :D

I agree - shopping local does everyone a world of good, sometimes the locals think they are selling gold by the pound!:D Other times they have fantastic deals if you know what you are looking for specifically.

I agree. More and more dealers of all kinds are finally becoming more competitive.
The internet has helped consumers get a better idea of all other product sellers prices which gives us more choices and more bargaining power.

I was looking hi and low for the 40amp alternator upgrade kit. For grins I called the semi local Kubota dealer. $189 plus shipping to my door since I couldnt drive an hour to his shop for quite some time. Same kit was $400 online.

I would like to buy a new machine from Emerichs just from the few emails we've exchanged. Hopefully it can happen, until then I spread positive thoughts about them. I believe theres a reason nearly all Orange tractors have their sticker around here even with Another Dealer being 5 miles down the road.
