Solenoid flutter

2005 L3430 HST keeps shutting down with what sounds like a fluttering solenoid. Seems to happen only after I restart the machine after the first start of the day. Safety shut-off switches for the seat, PTO and Forward/Reverse pedal seem to work fine. These flutters/shut-offs are becoming more frequent.
Any thoughts on where to look first?

The run solenoid could be giving up the ghost. There is a similar thread just posted in the last few days.

check the fuse too. I had to do several field calls with exact same complaints over the last 2 summers and almost every time the fuse was either broken or loose in the fuse block. I think twice I had to put solenoids on. Not common.

Also the L-30's were known for battery cable issues. Turn the key on, engine not started. You should hear the shutoff soienoid kick on as soon as the key is turned on. Go up to the battery. On the postitive cable assembly there are two wires. One is a heavy wire that feeds the starter. The other kind of "Y's" off of it and runs the rest of the tractor. The smaller one was known to fail. Wiggle that smaller wire where it connects and see if you hear the shutoff solenoid go crazy--if so, you probably found your issue.

Thank you everyone for your help. I traced every wire and checked every fuse and everything checked out. I lacked the knowledge of how to accurately test the fuel stop solenoid so I punted and ordered a new one and, the fluttering stopped after I installed it. Your suggestions gave me the direction I needed to go in to fix the problem. Thanks again!
