Could be a lot of things.
If it were me I’d disconnect and reconnect all the PTO connections related to the snowblower. Don’t need to remove anything; Just slip the connections off and back on to ensure they’re locked in place.
Need to be more descriptive as to where the sounds are coming from…..under the tractor (mid PTO), front of the tractor (front hitch), or maybe in the blower itself??
I wouldn’t suggest you continue to run it with “grinding noises” going on.
Grinding noises in this context can equate to many $$$ per second of operation….

Is the snowblower new or used? Did you just acquire this blower? Do you know anything about it former life if used?
Next, disconnect from the tractor and try to turn the augers by turning the tail shaft. If it makes noises then figure out where the noise is coming from. The snowblower isn't a very sophisticated piece of machinery, and noise is relatively easy to find with a little detective work. Just don't use it till you get it figured out.

arrrgh. seems to have the infamous ''coupling'......
as others have said , disengage it, then 'play tractor' and twirl the blower side of the coupling.
If it grinds then remove blower,put on workbench and carefully inspect
When you find out why, fix and report back.

Typically the fan is rubbing at some point around its enclosure. Look for a polished spot.

What's going on? NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION.
A cheeky response is "clueless owner operator".
Start by oiling your rusty chain, greasing all the bearings, topping up your gearbox oil. Now remove the PTO shaft and spin the blower by hand. There should be no contact or rubbing anywhere between the impeller or auger and housing. Isolate where the noises are coming from. Now post a specific question on the internet.
If you can't do this then call your local dealership and schedule a pick up.

The coupling for the blower might not be lined up. Move the tensioning lever to the uncoupled position and remove the cover (4 bolts). With the pto lever in the rear position you can rotate the coupling to where it lines up correctly so the coupling mates correctly. This happened to me my first time through it too.
I hope its just a rock,or rusty chain,I just did a shaft/bearing overhaul on my 40+ year old 5' blower,it wasn't pretty taking it apart with zip disks and some torch love,I used the redneck penetrating oil (50/50 acetone ATF),after cutting the bearings off the inner races were wet from the juice but everything was just to far rusted,it took 18 tons on the press to get the shaft out of the blower,good luck.
I had a shaft that was so rusted into the augers, that it took 40 tons in a press plus the heat of the torch to get it moving. Its first movement went off with a bang, and it took about 20 tons to keep moving till it was apart and out. Made a new shaft and fixed the blower like new. That was on an old Bolens HT20. That was also before I bought my BX22 in 2003.
I bought one from a fellow, and he had been blowing a stone driveway. Stone were all through the blower shearing bolts. I worked on it until all stone were out and rotation of the blower parts were free. If it is right behind in the housing, check linkage for tightness.

Should be simple enough to find the source of the noise by spinning the drive shaft by hand with tractor in neutral. My lx2963 has no chain drive.
