just checked K CDA online parts...
snowblower side (female) is $318
tractor side ( male) is $212
so... $530 +13% HST makes it $600 'out the door'....
I've bought 40HP running tractors with loader for less than that,not braggin just comparing 'dollar value'

If I ever have an issue with mine, I certainly will not keep that type of connection. I will just connect a drive shaft directly to the gear box as they use to do and remove the spring-loaded assembly altogether.
I wonder if the fact that the OP has a bit more HP, he is putting more strain on the coupling. He certainly would be able to blow heaver snow than I can with my LX2610 before the engine would start to bog down. The LX3310 I understand is been replaced by tractors with even more HP. Will be interesting to see how the couplings stand up to them.

OK, I gave up trying to find the spec for the LX2980 snowblower but....presuming it was all bought at Kubota as a 'package' ? ,it stands to reason the coupling is strong enough for that blower. Somewhere there HAS to be a chart of suggested HP, like ( 19-27 ?? ) which of course PTO HP not tractor (his is 33 ? )
The idea behind the K-konnect system was that you could easily put different attachments on and off,though I only recall posts about using snowblowers with it. I'd like to see a chart of 'optional equipment and their HP needs' as the K-system only has ONE coupling listed.

TG1860, BX2380 -backblade, bx2830 snowblower, fel, weight box,pallet forks,etc
Jay, IIRC, there is a snowblower, snowplow and brush/rotary broom. (at least for the BX K-connect system).
I imagine for the 'LX is similar.
Obviously the 'plow wouldn't need the driveshaft/pto connected.
Only the blower and broom/brush

Dealer called today......my BX2830 is in the shop (separate thread I started about it eating shear bolts)......they now want to take a look at my K-Connect as the coupling is "very worn" per their shop guy.
I now need to drop the unit off tomorrow.
I'll be friggin' pissed if their $5000 "commercial" unit lasted me 3 seasons of residential usage.......and I need to buy $500-1000 worth of stuff to fix a poor design that will wear exactly the same way.
