Hi Folks ; I just purchased a used B2650HSDC 2019 with 218 hrs.. Will arrive next week. Replacing my old Blue '86 Ford 1910. Got tired of the cold and wet, never got around to make the canopy, and buy a soft cab. Bought a used Ford PTO Snow Blower many years ago. First winter took off the backhoe, and PTO blowing snow in reverse with a manual tranny........XXXXX............Then I saw a Bobcat with a front mount snowblower.........So I fabricated this. I just bought a Q.D. Quick Tach Universal Steel plate from Titan, that I will adapt my Ford Snow Blower to my new (used) Kubota, that has a Q.D. Loader and 3rd. Function option, I can control the chute rotation. This should work.

nice.... a 20hp Honda motor should provide lots of power if you got the gearing close and last close to a lifetime worth of work.

I've never seen turnbuckles connected to loader arms, do you disconnect the curl/dump function and use it to rotate the chute?
I also would be interested in seeing pictures of the motor drive to the augers.

Turnbuckles were to level the blower and provide the anchor point to the loader arms. Never got around to hook up the Ford bucket hyd. to run the chute. Had a blizzard on the way at the time. Blower is 60 in. wide. Used Martin Dual Chain Sprockets on the PTO, and had to custom taper machine and adapter for the Honda output crank. It was a motor spec'd for a welder - generator I had as a spare. Blows heavy wet 40 ft. easy.

were you able to incorporate any kind of sheer bolt or safety for those instances where you run over a frozen chicken / cat or whatever kinda buried mystery lump?

There are a few Mfg's out there today that have turn-key front mount gas drive snow blowers for ATV /UTV / Tractors / Skid Steers. Problem I do not like with the front PTO snow blowers, is a PIA to mount.......Need a Warm Dry garage unless you young caveman, not an old fart like me. Limited Raise Height if you have to Dig into an Tall Embankment like end of driveway at a state highway, after big storm, to break down.....With my engine driven.......I can raise it as high as I want ( no PTO shaft restriction ), to get into the embankment.
The Ford does have built in dual shear bolts. There are Electric Clutches I have seen as options, for the new gas powered front mount snow blowers, on the market. One safety I need to do is a remote shut off for that Honda motor, instead of a clutch, when I re-config. for the Kubota. See if I can do it wireless.
Bercomac, Kimpex, MK Martin are common in these parts for front mounted w/ gas engines for atv's and tractors etc.... but they start at around $9k I think and go up quickly from there..... will bet you have less than that in yours and still getting the job done.
In Quebec Canada I have seen municipalities use front mounted with separate motors like you doing on smaller scale but them large enough to eat a stranded car.
I am thinking hard about a new one myself. Going front mounted with seperate hydro pac, or front mounted with a separate motor, or sticking with rear mounted pull or push..... so many decisions / so many toys / so little time.

well when I read the post , it sounded like he was going to use the mid mount PTO and use it to power the blower, getting rid of the 20HP gas engine.
he's a true bodger... I had E-pto on mine, easy on the engine to start, as well as linact for the chute elevation, geared DC motor for the chute direction. Simple 4 chnl RF unit controlled left-right ,near-far.

You are correct. Bercomac & others. If you have the Hydrostatic flow, then that will cut the cost for the front mount vs. engine powered. As I had 2 new spare 20 HP Honda's ( I bought from New Bedford Welding Supply, with a used Thermal Arc Welder generator as aux. storm power for my shop ). New Bedford had a fleet of rental Thermal Arc's they were turning over to Miller and Lincoln's. Had the new spare Honda's for repairs if needed . I worked for Thermal Dyn., like Hypertherm, working with welding distributors in the N.E for 20 yrs.

Looking at it, the PIA to mount, have to remove the backhoe to do it, add a weight box to the 3 Pt., be limited, in how high a front PTO blower can elevate.........Take the Self Powered Any Day.

My slightly used B2650 luck has it, comes with the option 3rd front Hyd. control on the loader. I'll use that to control the blower chute rotation, as the Ford blower does have the Hyd. cyl. mounted on the chute originally, I never used. Now I see you can get electrical linear actuator kits for those.

That LARUE reminds me of an OSKOSH I saw at MT. HOOD, Or., years ago at the ski lodge. Had 4 augers about 16ft. tall total. The lodge had tunnel to get in, as the snow pack was so high. So beautiful. I'm also into old trains. Steam Locomotive called a "Cab-Forward". Engineers were in front of the boiler & smoke, to get thru the mountain tunnels. Also had a Railroad Engine with a massive rotary front fan snow blower, going thu the Rockies. Same idea as a rock tunnel bore machine today. Wish I still had a pic.
I was blinded in a bad snow storm in a rented mini van the Laurentides. It was a white out and our van full of hog farmers pulled over on what we believed was the shoulder of a regional highway. We shouldn't have been out in that storm even though we are well experienced in winter weather. We new we were in a tough spot and it was a mistake.
We were stopped. One of those big Larues blew past us going at I don't know what high rate of speed blowing snow. Our van (our entire world) shook. We didn't see it coming and only saw it later stopped getting fuel up the road as we followed it out of the storm. I wount be surprised if a few squirted their pants. I wouldn't have ever believed an augured blower could move so fast blowing snow. A bladed truck sure but an augured blower??
Not sure if we just got lucky of if that operator could see us on what we thought was the side of the road.
Could never do that speed in a rear mounted blower! a well designed front blower rocks.
Snoww blowing is my favorite job around the place hands down.

BH77 question...don't have mine yet, but see a pic of a silver rod in a holder / pipe on the left side of the operator joystick console. Top of that rod is a finger hook. Trying to figure out what it's used for.
swing hook lock for use during transport. drops in a set of holes so the bh boom can't swing during transport. dropped in position to stop the swing.
here it is in its holder when operating the BH. at the bottom you can see the rnd hole it would be placed in when you want no swing during transport.

e chute motor was a surplus unit, probably from Princess Auto, 15-20 years ago. About the size of a Mason jar or 'large' coffee.I have seen bodgers use 12V winches and cable wrapped around the chute.
the RF relays I got from TEMU, though Amazon or others will have them. About $20+-. Keyfob has

so B was up chute, C was down, A was turn left , D was turn right.
This way no wires between blower and tractor. U1 battery on blower powered the 'receiver' as well as the Electric PTO. was going to add LED lights...never did.
I wanted it to be EASY to swap with the bucket.
BTW you may want to add an idler/tensioner to take up some of the chain slack..
