Looking to buy a skid steer for some digging work I want to do. Also to mower a hillside once or twice a year. Any recommendation's was looking at a Bobcat T190 with a Kubota engine.

Lots of options.

Do you already own a mower for a skid?

Will you be digging or tracking in a lot of rocky area?

Is there a local Bobcat dealer in your area? If so, might inquire if they are still going to be around in the next couple of years. ;)

I'm a huge bobcat fan, especially the ones with the Kubota engines in them.
T190 is a good solid unit with a really good track record.

What sort of mower? Seems most any skid steer will dig (bigger ones obviously dig bigger). But a mower will require a specific hydraulic flow.

Any particular reason you want to mow with a skid steer, and not with a tractor? Surely your LX is an obvious choice for mowing? I always feel like a PTO driven mower is more bang for your buck than a hydraulic one.

I've had good luck with Kubota and New Holland skid loaders

Why not rent a skid steer and use your current tractor for cutting? Unless you’re looking for an excuse to buy something. If your set on buying one, check your local CL or Facebook marketplace. Have allot of them in my area.

The hillside is scary with the LX and the neighbor mowed it with a ASR tracked skid steer and claimed it was not bad. Mower is not an issue as always seam to have new ones in a crate at auctions around here. The T190 is already on the short list. Renting is out due to many projects and working 50 hours a week. Can mower up and down but no good turn around spot.

I'm always interested in people who find hillsides scary on their tractor. Because there's such a massive variation in what people find scary - there are people who are scared on hillsides that other people would do in a flash.

When you mow with the LX, what are you doing to manage stability? Typical things to consider include:
1. Take the loader off. Biggest single change
2. Are you using a MMM or a rear mower? I think MMM tend to feel more stable
3. Have you looked into spacers on the rear wheels, and/or ballast in the rear tires. Both help quite a bit
4. Is it really unstable, or is it just the "pucker factor". The way I got myself past that was I would drive my machine onto the hill, then stop, get off, and then rock it - try to tip it over. Turned out it was nowhere near tipping over, I couldn't even remotely budge it - it was just me being nervous.
5. Are you mowing side to side or up and down? You say no turnaround area, so I'm guessing you're trying to turn around on the slope?
6. One thing for me with a MMM is it gives a whole lot more stability - in order for the tractor to tip over, it has to rotate around the mower itself. The few times I've tipped my B2601 a bit, the mower touches down and it stops.
