When bushogging, should I set my telescoping stabilizers so there is no play or should I put it in the notch that allows a little movement.
I’ve never had telescoping stabilizers before.
My tractor is an l4701

thanks in advance.

I used to set the pins in the holes. I now set them in the slots to allow some movement. Works either way. I think the slots are easier on the bush hog as they allow it to move a little to bounce off things as needed.

Interesting answer. My tractor and cutter were delivered Wednesday and the dealer said to use the holes, not the slots.
Is there any play between the mower and the tractor? If not what happens when the mower touches a tree or a fence post. A little give between the two might prevent some damage. I use the slots on the TL80A and my twin rotary and I know it has saved me some hard knocks.

Your dealer should read the manual 😎 I believe it's explained in there. The first time you misjudge the distance to that utility pole you'll understand why it's so important to choose the slots.
