I have a B2301 and would like to find a drill/seeder for food plots and overseeding lawns/grass lots. What is out there that can be handled by my tractor?

I use to use a fertilizer cart and just dragged the seed in. A tire, old matress or spike tooth drag works.

I also have a 2 row corn planter. My atv could pull it too.

Any old antique grain drill under 10 feet would work for your needs. Your best bet is auctions. They go under 300 most of the time. Online people are asking 700 to 1200.

Nice set up foxrunfarms! I have the planter already, No-Till Buffalo. I found a John Deere Van Brunt drill yesterday. I'm going to split it and Make 2 smaller drills. Thanks for the info.

In my area alot of guys buy a 4 row corn planter or a 10 foot drill " cheap" split them make 2, sell one and double their money. It seems like the smaller the implement the more it costs. Guys were asking 800 for a 2 row steel wheeled planter in the weeds with no plates. You can find a 4 row for that price. I was able to trade a 100.00 haywagon with new paint and truck tires for mine.

That's what I've done also. I purchased a 6 row buffalo planter and made 3 2-row planters. I sold the other 2. My goal is to make enough off of them to pay for mine. Basically get a planter for free!! That is my plan with my drill also. You are correct about the pricing of small equipment. It's the same way around here.
