I have a ZD-221 and am a maintainence freak, so I am constantly raising and lowering the seat. The thing is heavy and the position you need to be in is very awkward so I designed a " lift assist" system similar to a modern car hood. It is elegant in its simplicity and only requires drilling 3 holes in the support frame. My current system works on 200 series mowers both gas and diesel. I am now working on the 300 series. If there is enough interest I will set up a CNC machine and run off a bunch. The kit contains the custom attachment bracket, lift strut, SS hardware, and directions w/photos for installation. The original stop bar is maintained. These pictures are of the prototype installation eliminating the cable and maintaining the factory stop bar.
