exactly the reason polaris used electronic throttle valve rather than cable driven throttle. The electronic throttle can be opened progressively at a much smoother rate, and the ECU dampens how quickly it is opened/closed when you are on the trails which really smooths it out! I felt that the RTVXG850 desperately needed the same, but the engineers thought that it didn't, and they won.
One could redesign the throttle pedal so that it pulls the cable a little slower but I don't think it'll be easy. And the throttle pedal will have a lot more travel.
I've known of at least one accident due to the jerky throttle. Guy ran right through the barn. Another one into a fence. The barn incident, he got hurt a little bit from falling debris.
