Hello, this is my first post on this forum.

After years of struggling with an old abused JD950 2WD I just purchased a new B3350SU. While shopping I explained to the sales manager what I had and that I was currently operating a 5' rotary cutter and a 6' blade. This didn't seem to be an issue.

Took delivery of the machine yesterday and reading the manual under implement limitations, it lists 4' and 500lbs. I was kind of surprised at this. Does anybody have any experience with the b3350 and the 5' cutter? Thanks

For a hog its usually 4-5hp per foot of blade. So 5' would need 20-25 pto hp. My B7610 runs a 4' no problem.

What has popped up in threads lately is implement size and warranty issues. I dont know if your B has any favtory warranty? Personally, I would have no reservations running a 5 footer on a 27hp pto machine.

It is generally risky to exceed the mfg recommended specs for implements while it is under warranty, as the dealer can void the warranty if you do. Dealers often don't seem to read the manuals and will tell you anything to get you to buy. Sorry to be cynical, they do have a lot of different tractors to deal with.

There was a thread a few weeks ago regarding this issue. Search under b3350* mower and you will find a thread started by gelliot in which he was sold an implement that was too big. With the 3350 you want to keep your warranty intact even if the tractor will run that mower.

DO NOT run any implement on this tractor that the manual does not specifically suggest running.
The reason I say this is the B3350's are a know problem child and you would not want to give Kubota any reason to deny you the warranty when you need it fixed.

I'm shocked at how many dishonest and manipulating salesman...
Wait I'm being naive thinking there is actually an honest salesman out there!
That's like thinking there is an honest politician or lawyer...

Careful on how you speak about salespeople! I might be listening :p

Anyways I will not sell the B3350 plain and simple. I will not until Kubota has solved it's issues. We had one of our new guys sell one and we had to take it back with only 12 hours. Customer could not stand the hydrostatic whine that was amplified by the cab. We even put dynomat under the cab to help. It did help but not enough.

Customer was kind enough to take a Massey 1736HL cab. Very happy now.
