Foldable or permanent, which is preferred, which is better, which is safest?

Both work amazlingly well. It really all depends on your needs weather the ROPS fold's or not. If you store the tractor in a barn or shed and have low clearnce then the folding ROPS will allow extra room in the storage area, also they work great if your doing work under alot of tree limbs and such.
