Is it just me, is the first fuel filter on the bx23s a pain in the...? Has anyone relocated theirs? If so, where, parts suggestions, was it worth it. If I'm going to crawl under there and deal with that BS in the winter with a frozen filter I want to fix the problem for ever with a seperator/ filter unit if possible.

Several have, it's on my 'todo' list, even have the new filter here on the shelf....
There are 'kits' available, maybe google 'bx filter kit' ?
You attach new filter outboard of the frame by the loader frame upright, run 5/16 line to tank.

Yep - - I'm same as Jay. Have one the shelf, but haven't done it yet. Came as a kit for BX relocation. Can't recall who I got it from.

If I think of it, I'll get some pics and vendor, etc.

The only thing I see that needs to be done when relocating the filter, which I think the big "K" should have done to begin with, is a guard over the filter. If your luck runs like mine,, yup ,,,you are going to find something some place to jam in it

Yep. (y)

That's what has held up my conversion. I need to make a guard. I've been working out in my head how to fabricate something that looks decent, using limited metal-working tools.

Where did you get the kit for that?
Or did you part it up yourself?
Jim,

Bought all the components separately. 5/16" hose - like 10', good hose clamps, and maybe the most important piece - the 1/4 turn ball valve. And of course the filter itself. Making the bracket took a bit of cardboard and trial and error. I am with Skeets - it does need a undercarriage to help with smacking that one stick that will FUBAR the works.
