Boss brought in his badly worn Kubota bucket from plowing his whole neighborhood when it snows lol. I’m not sure why i didnt Take a before picture. But it was worn all the way back to the welds. And the sides were worn off too from rubbing down curbs. I hand Beveled a new cutting edge and welded it in there just as asked. Also built new cutting edges. And when it was done he asked me to drill and put on another cutting edge lol. He can plow highways now for a few years straight

Bummer....I can only use the "like" button once! Very nice job!!!!

Looks just like the edges on my Cat loader.

How do you bevel the edges?

My Kubota bucket on my B is going to need some love soon too.

Thanks man! And we have a Volvo loader, it mimics that as well lol.

as for the bevel, the welded one is hand grinded. They do make a tool though, just don’t own one. The bottom bolt on edge came beveled.

Wish i could help ya out man!

That’s an old school Milwaukee mag. She still runs like a top! Just sucks when she’s hanging and the breaker trips 😂

Oh absolutely! Nothing wrong with them, for the price especially. That actual box is filled with nothing but harbor freight stuff. I use Snap on as well. But only certain stuff. In my personal garage i have All the icon stuff. Probably not necessary, but nice for sure

Great job! What material did you make the weld on cutter bar out of?
I’m not 100% sure. It was from our local Steel place. Told them what I was using it for and that’s what they gave me. In jersey we have a killer place called Joseph Fazio steel. They pretty much have anything you can think of for welding, construction, i could Write a list a mile long haha

I had the welded cutting edge on my BX replaced a while back, but before I took it to the shop to be installed, I bought a 48" bolt-on edge for a later BX(?) and drilled the weld on edge so it could be bolted on like you did. Mine isn't reversable, though I suppose I could grind a new edge on it if I have to turn it around.

Question on the bolt-on mounting. Looks like on the bottom you are using something with an hex in it, which is recessed, while on the top it looks like bolt heads.

What is that? Bolt going in from the top, and some kind of recessed, closed part on the bottom that mimics what nut does? Or just things ground off on top which look like bolt heads?

Probably obvious when one knows, but I don't...

edit: nice job by the way!

thanks man! Yeah they are just countersunk Allen heads, with a nut on them inside the bucket. I cut Them flush and ground them off. I made the countersink with a bit the size of the bolt head.
