Gear box locked up. Took cover off and oh my!!! Not sure if repair is going to be worth it. I'm not a gear guy but this doesn't look good. Deck off a B7100 HST D 4x4

The bottom oil seal failed and I didnt realize it. My fault for not being maintenance proactive and checking before hooking up after winter.

Now I have the top bearing out and trying to find a replacement. I need a location to buy the lower oil seal and a new top bearing but unable to find any references to the RC60-71B mower deck.

Anyone have online references of where I can go to buy the correct parts? I've been searching on Google and about the most I can find for the 71B deck is mower blades, belt and plastic wheels. I need the bearings! I checked at Messicks and got nothing.

Any help?

As far as bearings. Check your local bearing supply. Just do a Google search for your area. They are gonna be about 250 percent lower then the dealer on the same bearing. As far as the lip seal. Go here http://www.kubota.com/part/partsList.aspx

Scroll down. Click on I accept, then click open. On the next page type in B7100. It will bring up all the B7100 models. Look closely at the model. You will see a tab that says local options.

Click on that and it shows all the attachments for your tractor including the deck you have. Click on that and you will get the parts break down ;)

The nearest Kubota dealer to Owings MD is Gateway Tractor & Equipment 301-627-6400.
You should make sure that you have your deck serial number handy because they have a serial number break.
sn<11299 gearbox 76518-99040 list $728.16 (2 avail in Ga. warehouse)
sn>30001 gearbox 76518-99043 list $941.42 (1 avail in Tx. warehouse)

It should be way cheaper to repair as long as housing is ok and esp if gears are ok. If gearset is bad your are looking at this:
sn<11299 gearset 76507-33320 (no longer avail, discontinued)
sn>30001 gearset 76529-99020 list $238.25 (avail in KS warehouse)

Hope this helps!

Not necessarily. Local dealer has the local bearing supplier beat by a mile on at least a few bearings, last ones I bought were 6205's for a mower deck spindle. Kubota 08101-06205 was $6.40 each and bearing supply was $9.35/ea for their cheapest bearings. The "gooder" ones were about $15/ea.
