Have a 1966 Case 730 diesel tractor. Second owner. Radiator started spewing fluid at the base of the top tank last winter.
I did some improvising to get through the winter feeding hay, but decided it's time to eliminate future problems with cooling. I called two shops within 30 miles, and discovered both are no longer there. Through some inquiry found a repair shop 90 miles to the south.
Decided to replace the hoses. Bottom hose is 14" long with a slight bend, 2" dia. Dealer does not have it, take 5 days to get it, $38. Order hose online and have it in 3 days from All States Ag for $26 (form fitted, not universal flex like auto parts can get).
So I get my radiator back after 5 days (cause I told them no hurry). They backflushed/washed fins/removed leaky top tank/rod out tubes/repaired damaged tubes, resoldered tank to core/pressure checked to 18psi.
Total: $178.46
What a bargain! A hose cost $38. They go through the entire radiator for $178. A new aftermarket radiator cost $645-$801.
