I think I saw some others that had made something similar to this. I thought this might help me get some of the bigger logs out of the brush so I can cut them up. Didn't have the daylight to test it yesterday but I think it will work, should be easier than having to get off the tractor and fight getting a chain around the log. Most of what I have here is pines and blackjacks so mostly lightweight stuff.
Only thing I might need to get a twisted shackle to hang the tongs from. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362663183.374744.jpg

Northern Tool has a few sets of tongs on a swivel but they have a grab hook on the other end.

Similar to the trailer hitch/log skidder/sleeve hitch I welded up for my B7100. Works awesome.
Piker, I like that rake in the pictures, did you make it, and if you did where did you get the teeth? I am thinking about something like that to rake up sticks and limbs before I mow. Do you think it would work for that, or would it tear up the yard to much, even with the weights off?

I like it simple and easy. Like you already spoke about I think a swival clevis may be a better option for menueverabilty so that it won't bind up on you.

I am no expert mind you. Just my thoughts and about $5.00 may get you a Starbucks latte.

Landscape rakes work great as a site prep tool on a new lawn install. They work great for cleaning up trash and debris from topsoil but will up root grass on an established lawn.
