Hello this is my first post. I’ve had a B7100 HSTD for 25 years. On the wiring diagram, what do the labels on the wires mean? eg. A V0.5, A V2. I understand the letters at the end of the label represent the color(s) of the wires. Thanks

Cross sectional area in mm2 of the copper wire not including insulation.

So unlike American wire gauge size where bigger actually means smaller..... 16/2 is smaller diameter wire than 14/2, Metric sizes reflect real sizes.

Any idea what the “A V” means?

There are wiring color tables in each models WSM usually in the GENERAL SECTION

The first letter designated the base color and the second the color of the stripe.

Remember if these involve a Kubota, translation is also involved.

A simple example of RW would mean a read wire with a white stripe.

these letters have changed over decades and the above is from a B2650's WSM.

Older simpler tractors like the B7100 include the wiring colors on each wiring diagram. Because the wiring is simple, they do not need too many colors.

If you told what exact machine you were seeing AV identifying a wire an exact answer is possible

The color codes are at the end of the label. See the attached picture to see the “A V” at the beginning of the wire label.

American Wire Gauge is certainly interesting.

I'm not sure why it had to be so complicated but here's the first explanation I found. Another name for AWG is Brown & Sharp gauge. Seems the Brits had their own gauge system, and there were even proprietary gauging systems until a standard was adopted.

Interesting trivia, but just that, trivia.
