PTO switch reversed on M5140

Post a picture of your setup.
The picture I posted is with the gate and lever mounted to the fender.
Forward is on, rearward is off, is yours the opposite?

Will get a photo shortly. Yes mine is opposite, forward is off, rearward is on. Just talked to dealer. Mechanic says he's seen this before and the lever assembly just needs to be turned around. Now have to figure out how difficult that is so I don't have to take it back.

When you do your post, sroll down to manage attachments. Up load your photos there. When you close out that window after uploading, it will show the photos down in the manage attachments section. Hit submit reply, and they will show up on the bottom of your post not sure how to insert photos into the post using the computer. Will just use the iphone and taptalk. Much easier

hit the paperclip, manage attachments,choose file,(find the picture on your computer) click upload (you will see a number at the bottom telling you % of upload progress), scroll down and hit "close this window" then hit submit

Dang, I don't know how they did it but yep it's installed backwards!

Being that it's new tell the dealer to send someone out to fix it!

There are 2 bolts on the sides of the gate that hold it in place, remove the 2 bolts and it will flip around.

They sure did screw up! Dealer's mechanic says he's seen it before, so Kubota needs to tighten up their QC process. My dealer's 60 miles away, so I'll give it a shot first.

I think the "dealer" needs to drive them thar 50 miles and be a fixing it !

Should not be your job to take it to him.

I like your thinkin' 85Hokie! I'm gonna give it a shot this weekend and go from there. Inside the fender there are two bolts (# 160 in the diagram) that hold the cover (# 140) on. From there it should be easy to reverse the lever.

Finally got the tractor back. PTO switch has been reversed as it should be. While in the shop I got the exhaust pipe shortened to reduce the risk of hitting the exhaust while mowing under trees. All is good!
