PTO Quick Attach Help

Haven’t been on here in a while. Bought a B2601 about six years ago and sold it after I sold my small farm. Will be purchasing another small farm in the next year or so and will more than likely be buying another B2601 as it did everything I needed it to do.

Issue is and my main question has to do with connecting implements. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and have it pretty bad. Effecting my feet to my fingers and a lot in between and is going to be challenging to say the least, hooking and unhooking implements. I had a set of Pat’s Quick Hitches before and will be getting another set but the real challenge is hooking up implements to the PTO.

Is anybody making a really good quick attach device that can be added to the PTO to make it less strenuous hooking up PTO driven implements to ease the physical stress and strain. More than likely sticking to Landpride implements if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance for any input!

If you get the yokes with a single pin, not the collars, I think you could make or adapt something to push and hold the pin retracted until you get the splines past the notch, then remove the tool and finish sliding the yoke until the pin engages the notch.

The PTO link adds length to the driveshaft. That could be an issue with implements, such as tillers, that have short shafts.

I realize some may like the rectangular / box shaped quick hitches but for me they are a 100% NO GO. When I initially got my B2601 back in 2020 I got the high priced Landpride quick hitch. Most of my implements were Landpride that would work with the quick hitch but some were not so this was then first issue. Next IMO they aint “QUICK” all the time for all implements as the top hook on the quick hitch had to be adjusted for some implements which required a mac daddy wrench and was anything but quick when this needed to be adjusted. Lastly and BY FAR my biggest issue with the rectangular / box shaped quick hitches is that they are a barrier to get to the PTO when connecting PTO driven implements which is horrible for those of us old foggies with back and other issues. The frame of the rectangular / box shaped quick hitch blocks access to the PTO and made me reach and stretch farther while holding weight to hook up to the PTO. NO SIR….never again for me.

Afterwards I bought a set of Pats and everything was so much easier and very quick, worked with all my implements and didn’t block me from getting much closer to the PTO when needing to connect PTO driven implements. I am a HUGE Pat’s quick hitch fan, not so much for the other!

I use Pat's on my small tractors like the one you are planning on getting, but a QH is a necessity on large tractors... as to the PTO shaft, most of the shafts come with slip collars nowadays that are easy compared to the pin lock versions, not tried the device mentioned above, may have to give one a shot...

I am sure the safety police will have a fit but I remove the PTO shield on the back of the tractor and that makes it a lot easier for me to hook up the yoke. The shields tend to get in my way and they get bent and beat up rather quickly anyway making them hard to flip up.

The Pat's are just simple and they work as advertised. I remember when I was putting the Pats on the B2601 thinking to myself, "these things are going to come loose." 400 hours later they were still rock solid and never gave me a bit of problem.

Don't know your constraints, but an L2501/2 might give you better access and I understand they're about the same price. Of course, if you already have B size implements, that might not work.

It will be a B2601, L2502 or maybe even an L3302. That purchase is a while out and will just depend on what the land I buy calls for. Just don't know yet.

The quick attach above looks like it will help a lot. Appreciate the input.
