I have lots of big projects planed for my L3200 ( heated cab and a grapple ) but those will have to wate till summer. Right now a little one would be good I would like to build a level indicator for my fel one of the ones with the rod up the side of the loader arm. Does anyone have some pic of one of these or pic of what they have built:)

A level indicator is also next on my to-do. Just got a manual for the FEL (a B219) and mine is ridiculously simple: a tube with an 'ear' welded on it that one of the pins that secure the loader to the frame passes through. A rod with a short 'L' on the end slides in and out of the tube; the 'L' passes through an empty hole on the bucket mount, and is secured with a small "hair pin" pin.

Here's a section of the exploded diagram:

Hope that helps; good luck with your mod (POST PICS!)

Greetings, I made a bucket leveler, I used, a small rod, small piece of pipe, short piece of angle iron and 2 small tire rods that I got at Princess Auto. I painted the rod black and when the bucket is level I painted a white mark.

This is how Wood's does their indicator, works well and is a quick read.
It has a V bent into the rod that dips down in a notch when it's level.

Oh, I like that one a *lot*! That's much better than the ”Jack-in-the-box" type on the B219! Does it try to bind when the 'V' passes through the bracket?

Not at all, the bracket has a slot for it and not a hole, But if it did it would just bend the poo out of it or just toss it, as the lever action on that bucket dump set up is tough, several thousand PSI!:D;)

Interesting concept- for clarification, does it indicate bucket being level just at ground height, or at whatever height the bucket is at?

Just at ground height, there is another option that keeps it level all the time, but that's pricey!

... the bracket has a slot for it and not a hole...
I can't see the slot in your pic; I suppose it runs back-to-front... is a slot ~ 3x the width sufficient? (I've just grabbed some 1/4" aluminum rod and 3/4" angle 1/16" thick - I think I'll have to figure how to run the slot lengthwise to the angle. <sigh> Assumptions have always found the most tender spots to bite me!)

I'd guess the slot length as being the height of the triangular bend, plus a little.
I'd guess a little too long is better than a little too short.

Yes the slot is as long as the v bend in the rod.
There is also a slot running the other direction so you can adjust it up and down.

to make the slots in steel drill a series of holes then file or cut between the holes with a jig saw with a metal blade. ;)

Here's what I made for mine. Clear 1/2" PVC with a cutout to watch rod.

1. Rod is flush with the end of the PVC when the bucket is level.

2. PVC fastened to loader arm

3. Offset in rod

4. Swivel connection at lower end of rad
