I have a B7100 HST 4WD. The pin for attaching the top link to the tractor was there when I bought the machine. There are 3 holes where the top link can be attached. My problem is this; The pin (bolt) is so long it can only be maneuvered into the middle hole and the clevis clip has a large steel circle which snaps over the pin to lock in place. I have searched this forum and discovered when operating ground engagement implements the top link should be attached in the bottom hole. There is no way to get the pin into the bottom hole because of the length and that darn clevis clip can't be used. I think I need to find a shorter pin with a different kind of clip to lock in place.
I will appreciate any suggestions concerning this. We have a tractor Supply her in Stephenville TX and should be able to find something there.
Thanks in advance and have a great day. Suppose to reach 110 degrees here today so all stay cool.
