The PTO Shaft rear or mid continues to spin at a slow rpm with selector lever in disengage position. Is this normal? Newbie with B2650

with the tractor off---- can you free spin either with lever in the off position?

on a crazy note ..... with tractor running and pto lever off .... and pto still moving - take broom handle, lay against and see if it stops?

My guess is your PTO lever is not disengaged. The switch can get dirty or loose and not make good contact. I spray mine with WD40 or some kind of oil occasionally to keep the contact working. This happens on my L3901

Managed to finally look into both suggestions broom handle will stop spin but takes a fair amount of leverage, also with machine not running I’m able to spin PTO SHAFT by hand. Hydro fluid is where it should be on the dipstick after warm up and multiple excessive of all cylinders. FEL backhoe and hydro trans.

If you can spin it with the tractor off, I'd say the PTO brake is shot.

I also had this issue on my L3901, I needed to lube the cable and the engagement pivot point under the tractor, it quickly fixed the issue, I assume your B2650 has a similar set up. Good luck with this.
