My 8540 is showing its age with faded fenders and roof. I believe they are plastic and not fiberglass. Do anyone have any recommendations on a product to restore and protect the machine? I’m not looking for a parade detail, just looking to protect it from the UV it gets from sitting outside.

303. 303. 303. That is all you need to know and use.

I use it on my Kubota, RV, ATV'S, side by sides, truck bed liners, bed covers, mirrors, door handles, Jeep soft and hard tops, etc, etc, etc, and ANYTHING plastic, fiberglass, or vinyl. Been using it for years. A++++

It is truly top notch. But, you might be too late. Don't expect your faded plastic fenders to look new. But if you'd used 303 from the beginning... They would be closer to new. Use it now to STOP the fade and protect it's integrity or strength.

Hands down, it's 303. There is nothing as good.

I searched for years, decades. 303 is it.

And no, I don't work or get paid by 303.

I could show you pics of my 12 and 20 year old Honda ATVs... 303 treated yearly. Plastics are darn near like new.

There are plastic cleaners, which can cut the oxidation. To protect, I use a generic ceramic polish, which works on both plastic and paint/metal. My stuff looks fantastic- I have a 99 Honda ATV and a 2000 tractor that gets comments.

I’ve never heard of 303, need to check it out. Just finished up my brush mowing and it’s time to clean up the l3800 for spring.
My Yamaha FJR needs detailed as well, being mostly plastic I think the 303 would work well on it too.

I've heard of 303 but haven't used it yet.
There's a youtube channel about car care and the fellow there has recommended it.

He also give some ideas about alternatives and homemade stuff.
Who knows? I get a kick out of his ideas for working on cars.

I MOST DEFINITELY concur!

I have used 3M 303 for many years.
It is also particularly good to preserve the rubber seals around automobile window seals, or to preserve any decorative rubber trim.
It does not last for a long while there though.
Around auto window/door seals, I apply it every six months.
