Good job getting it worked out. I usually only turn once or twice a year so I keep a log book on where things are "supposed to be" adjustment wise since I tend to forget sometimes :D
Another tip is to take a junkyard paint writer, and mark off witness marks, on parts that can move. I also mark the toplink lengths, on the plow, in question. And wrench sizes for removing bush hog blades, and stump jumpers. :D:D
