I'm in Western New York, just south of Buffalo, NY , about 6-7 miles from Orchard Park where the Buffalo Bills play.
Friday 11/18/22 , 1:30 pm
It started at 8 pm last night.
They closed my work for today.... as well as many schools and other businesses.
went out at 10 am, got back in at 12:30..... ( and ..uggg....I'm ready for a beer..! )
Snowplow knocked my mail box off.
Pickup truck stuck down the road, and a car off across the street.
24" so far, still snowing, the bottom 4"-5" was all heavy wet slush.
It fell on warm ground and is melting from the bottom.
Figure i'd post some pics, taking a break now, checking the weather radar , and probably gonna have to go back out later this afternoon....and again tomorrow....and Sunday...........

Noting over here on Tug Hill..... Bummer. It looks like you need a way bigger snowblower.
Considering where you live I was thinking the same thing. Drifthopper, I am surprised you don't have a 3PH snow blower on the back of your L3710!

That's a lot of snow to be removed over a large area for a walk behind blower! Hope you don't get what they predict in total snowfall. Your area was even on our local news here in North Dakota last night!

A few more. The snowthrower kept clogging up from the slush.
What's the L3710 doing while you're outside busting your you-know-what?
(sitting in the garage drinking beer?)
LOL

You need a blower and backblade dude

So happy I live where the weather suits my clothes and I don't have to deal with that crap. I thank my dad (WV) and my mom (ND) for having the good sense to stay down here after he retired from the USAF every time I see posts like the OP's.

TH Tom, Henro, Ve9..others.... my tractor is out at our hunting camp property , 70 miles away.
My Husky sno thrower is big enough for " general " snow falls thru the winter, just that this snow event is crazy.
It all fell on warm ground so it just makes it sticky.
Hopefully the cold will freeze things up where i cleared the earlier snow, but it's only 31* so not really that cold.
My town called me, one of those general auto warning calls, there's a state of emergency, drive ban.... no unnecessary travel.
.
i got go back out there soon.
And.... my neighbor called me.... ( he cleared their drive at 7 this morning ) she called asking if i think she could make it in..... i said i'll clear it out before you's get home.
so... i'll fuel up the snow thrower, do theirs, then mine again.
It's been snowing like crazy all afternoon.

Actually, it's not. It's light and fluffy that's why it piles up so high. The cool thing about it is when you move it into a pile you can see that it is almost blue in the packed snow, i.e LES
With snow like that, you need a Kansas snowblower (40 mph N wind). The snow ends up in Oklahoma. All those trees might be a problem. 😬

And..... tomorrow, the 19th, is our opening day of big game / whitetail deer season with the rifle and shotgun.
I"m super bummed I won't be making it out to deer camp with the roads closed and snows like this.
It's tradition...... it's like missing Christmas. :(

Thx for the pics, please stay as safe as possible!

Snowblower looks to be doing a nice job, hope it gives you trouble-free performance throughout the winter (spoken by someone how much a breakdown sux o_O)

Keep after the pile on the roof; don't want that ending up in the living room!

Further north?

Just saw Watertown on Weather Channel. They were getting quite a bit.

1-2 inch's here. Just how the wind blows for LES
Yep, grew up 15-20 miles south of Syracuse. Saw some wild bands commuting to SU/ SUNY ESF on I-81 when winds were NNW.

Here, we’re just outside for most part. Can get both Lake Ontario and Erie LES.

We maybe got a an inch off Lake Erie today. Wind pretty much W…

Jk12..... ya... i know.

I'll watch how much more we get over night and tomorrow.... and if it keeps snowing, i'll have to shovel the roof tomorrow.
