Any one know where I can get my hands on this bolt. Original part #03014-50660, SCREW PAN HEAD. Not sure if that’s it. But that’s what was there.
Ace or big box store? It'll be metric, maybe 60mm long. Dealer or Messicks otherwise. Looks like a hex head to me.

I don't know how similar it is, but hardware stores usually have some that is workable.

That is most likely a JIS hex head cap screw. NAPA or similar should have a limited selection of JIS fasteners

EDIT

Whoops - I spoke too hastily. If that has a cross point recess in the head it would be a SEMS screw - something Kubota uses occasionally. Thats not something you will find at a parts or hardware store.

Definitely a hex head. If you remember my post about the control valve on my B6200…
I broke one of the bolts.. all eight boltsfor the relief cover and but they’re all the same hex head

Messicks and German Bliss don’t have the original pan heads. Messicks says they have the hex bolts.

I think this is it.
Now THAT's quite a tape measure! Used by seamstresses to measure your inseam!
SHEESH!
Seriously, for the last few weeks, I've been measuring a ton of metric fasteners, washers, and seals. Did a warehouse cleanout of NOS moped parts. The German (Sachs) engine parts are spec-ed down to 0.1 mm. I have a metric calipers and a metric/English tape measure.
So, I'm a tiny bit sensitized by the um, LACK of precision here? OMFG. YGTBKM.
Back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Dont over think this.

I think the original fastener is a SEMs screw made to JIS standard. I gave encoutered them in the past. It has a 10mm modified hex head with cross point (Phillips) drive in the center of the head and a caotive underhead washer. Bel Metric sells them but not in that length and they are special order.

In practice a JIS hex head bolt is nearly identical but without the Philips drive and captuve washer.

A flange head JIS bolt wont need the washer.

A metric hex bolt ftom a big box store will be a DIN standard fadtener with a 11mm head.

Thats the technical difference in the fasteners and for all practical purposes this is a tempest in a teapot. Any of those options will work fine.

1792502183303.png I think this is what i pulled out of there.. Whats throwing me off is the heads of these bolts where painted like they were installed OEM from the factory. But they are def not pan heads.

I think your getting hung up on the part name:
And yes Kubota manuals and descriptions gets the part name wrong some of the time.

Front cover bolts: 01202-50655
BOLT M6x1.0x55 mm

Rear cover bolts: 01202-50660
BOLT M6x1.0x60 mm
