Well, finally let my baby go and moved up a couple decades. It was time to let the gear drive go and get HST. So far, very happy with my purchase! Only downsides of new rig are the r4's as I'm an AG guy. The rear windows are gone in cab and I can't seem to find any available, but have intentions of redneck bending some plexi. Unless anybody has ideas on locating them...

Old rig, L295DT.

New rig, L3710 HST

Only had it off the trailer 5 min and she's already full of mud and doing work !!

Any tips, tricks, mods, advise on the new steel, let me know !! Looking into chains for mud too, since they will be a much cheaper investment than 4x AG's.

I assume you are talking about replacing the curved rear quarter windows. I would be very interested in how you make replacement ones. I have the same cab on my B2410 and one of the same windows is cracked and both are scratched and very foggy.

Being that it doesn't have a factory cab, I was guessing it's a Sims or Curtis cab by the looks of it but it's not either of those 2, it's going to be tough to find replacement windows.
Look for a sticker or label with a manufacture and model and you might find them.

It could be either a soft side cab, or hard, it has start cut angle bent side windows.
Here is some pictures of what it will look like.

Looks just like the Curtis soft side cab thats on the L3710 for sale down the road from me. The "glass" is actually arcrylic. Worst case you have an upholstery person make you a rear section that can snap on and off.

It's definately a Curtis. After calling them direct they do not have it, or a part number. For a company with a solid hold on the cab market, they are horrible to deal with. I'll be trying to bend plexi at some point, but not on the priority list now.

Congratulations on your acquisition, yep in that mud R4s are going to suck, I have them on mine and just leave it parked if it's muddy. Our M8540 with R1s just walks right through it.

Congrats. If you go the DIY route on the windows try Lexan. There's almost no limit to the bending you can do without breaking it. I made a couple roofs for forklifts at work that sometimes run between buildings in the rain. We made a few sharp bends with our big press brake to shed rain. I'd bet that with a little work you could wrap a piece around a padded pipe and get it pretty decent.

I have the dealer looking in to AG's for me. Amongst a few others they had me convinced that R4's would do 80% of what AG's can. I strongly disagree. I can't have them... Hope it works out cause these things are useless to me.

As far as diy windows for cab, I prob won't start that project till fall. Unless we get some serious rain and I'm bored. I'll make a thread when I start

Anybody know a good source for used rims/tires ? I see a few large salvage yards out there... Not sure who's worth dealing with.
Look on EBay, I've caught some good deals on whole sets on there. ;)
