Yes I missed it because it was referencing a different model
Mine was similiar and the 8 bolts on either side with a transmission jack support under the oil pan worked just fine. That front axle assembly sure does weight a lot, I tried to lift it out of the way and gave up letting it just sit in place.
You missed or misinterpreted the same info for the same model as yours in post #8.
I think I saw the part weights 38lb or 40 something pound depending on serial number so no recommended to drop it on ones toe:D

I need to learn to read a bit better
Yes indeed I missed that one as well
Guess I was UPSET about the current situation

Things are better today

Parts out and being cleaned up and ground down as needed. Strange they way is was constructed. Two pieces laminated together with strange little metal parts as supports then all welded to the assembly.

Starting to look like it can be welded up hope to save a few bucks
It does indeed weigh in at about 40lbs

Serial # 71085 early 90's version of the HST B7100 - spin on filter no internal mesh filter

How much does the front diff assembly weigh in at?
One way or the other it's heavy and was difficult to set in place on the hoist
