hi everyone, has anyone ever change canister oil filter,Do you take canister off of tractor? I need help please advise! thanks

AllenH, if you have the replacement filter just remove the horizontal bolt. Be sure to have your oil catcher tub underneath. There are a washer, spring and a seal, if I remember correctly, on the inside. But just slide to housing off and replace everything in the order you remove it, after you clean the canister.

What i see is a bolt on the left end of canister,by loosening that and removing it, you should have a big splash of oil. Its too late to grab the oil absorbent material
As i have done before.
Your new filter, if an aftermarket one will have several gaskets. Just match up what you have on the old one. Wash housing and dry off. A little grease will help hold loose gasket in place while assembling.
