I am here because I have found a B7100 for sale. The lady is asking $2500 for it. She bought it new in 1988 and has had it dealer serviced ever since. It has 1247 hrs on the meter. It is 4WD and standard transmission. 3 speed PTO, class 1 three point hitch. New front tires, serviced and steam cleaned last fall before she decided to sell it. I've been waiting for her to decide for 5 years now. It has several pieces of equipment that will come with it, a 48" finish mower, a 48" blade, a 60" cultivator, a carry all and a trailer.

My questions are

1. Is it worth the money?

2. Are there any things I need to know about that model"

3. Will all standard equipment work on that model?

I did search a bit before posting so if I missed something I apologize. I am unfamiliar with the uses of the B7100. I want it to turn a garden, grade my drive, mow about 4 acres of pretty flat ground with just grass on it and to pull a cart or trailer. Oh, don't laugh here, to use to get me up the hill to my deer stand and drag out what ever I might take. Told you not to laugh.

I'm open to all comments and ideas, that is after all why I posted.

Thank you, Tom

Welcome aboard!
Sounds like a steal to me..... out here, the implements would cost more than that. The 60" cultivator sounds large to me, but I have no personal experience with one, large or small. I think it will do all you want, and the only issue I have left on mine is a leaky front axle..... it has the old "ball" type axle, like the old jeep axles. The later B7100s came with a gear case type axle, but I don't remember what year they switched. It's not a big deal, just easier to keep the gear case axles clean & leak free.
I love mine, it is a real workhorse..... and I wouldn't worry to much about the hours if it was well cared for, (sounds like it was) mine has about 1230 hours.
It has no water pump, (it is a thermo siphon system) so keep the radiator fins clear, and the coolant fresh.

I agree with what everyone has said especially given the condition you have explained. Here in VA it would be a great deal for a 4x4 and the implements. If you ever decide to upgrade the mower, I run a 60" finish mower behind my B7100 without any problem.

There are stamped-sheetmetal riding mowers out there that cost more than that- and won't hold a candle. That is an excellent price, for the tractor by itself. The implements are worth that much, as has been said. Even if you don't like it, you can turn around and make money on it. You will look a LONG time to come across another deal that will equal that one. Let us know what you do, and welcome to OTT!

That is a good deal for the money. I would buy it. I have 2 B7100's they are a tough little tractor that will do amazing things for their size.
