New to me B7510 - Trick to removing side panels?

Just bought the tractor with 440 hours, and starting to go over everything really close. I have tried 3 or 4 times to remove the engine side covers. Do the top latches just finally release after yanking on it enough? I have pried with a screw driver, and looked for a way for the wire keeper to let go. This just doesn't seem right. I've read though the owners manual and don't see anything.

open the hood, latch on top front center, pull tops of side panels away from sides, then lift up in the front then forward to get the lower rear latches released.

And yes the top spring latches can be a little tight, spray a little oil or WD40 on them to help.
